We establish a cap (a maximal charge amount per iteration or task scope) to bring more predictability to the cost of each iteration.

Applicable to Waterfall projects and isolated development tasks with a defined scope (e.g., PoC development, building a particular feature or software component). We estimate the final cost in advance by determining the exact efforts necessary to complete the task.
